I’m sitting with Son in our living room. I just had a nap and Daughter is blissfully asleep upstairs. It’s the first time all day that my head feels free of cotton balls.
Son is working on his snap circuits, and we’re reading together about how the battery is similar to a water pump, the switch to a valve, and the L.E.D. light to a water meter. He is so focused. I love Daughter, but I miss having alone time with Son like this. He brushes back his long bangs that he won’t let us cut and asks me to go over it again. I steal a quick kiss on his head and read it again.
What’s your favourite moment of the day? What are you grateful for today?
